The Struggle for Mount Sabih

Every week outside the West Bank city of Beita, Palestinians walk into ancestral olive groves to protest the construction of an Israeli settlement on the neighboring hill.

Nine have died in this struggle.

β€œThe face is burnt my brother, it is burnt.

Do you think I will cover it?

It is already burnt.”

On the other side of the groves is the Israeli settlement, which supposedly evacuated in response to the protests.

There, settler families picnic as their own political act.
